Squarespace doesn’t let you test footers the same way as regular pages, so this is a workaround while I update settings.

We have to include the reCAPTCHA badge on both in order to have it filter spam.

Moving “We respect your privacy!” up above the fields rather than below saves having to manually override some code or use some other workarounds which could get messy later.

Similar story with the text box sizes being slightly different, etc.
